Revitalize, Reinvent, Reskill: Unlocking Workforce Productivity
Revitalize, Reinvent, Reskill: Unlocking Workforce Productivity
Our inaugural convening of reskilling practitioners, "Revitalize, Reinvent, Reskill: Unlocking Workforce Productivity" will take place on October 22 and 23 at Harvard Business School.
Within today's rapidly evolving business landscape, organizations face profound challenges in maximizing workforce potential. Despite extensive investment in training initiatives, progress towards effective reskilling has been minimal. This is especially true of middle skills workers or those who don’t have a four-year college degree. Prevailing policy debates too often focus on the macro-level picture and ignore the critical perspectives of firms. Meanwhile, firms underestimate organizational frictions that inhibit the effectiveness of their training investments and seldom measure the impact of these investments on their business goals.
The purpose of this event is to bridge these gaps and facilitate concrete progress. During this roundtable, we will distill key macroeconomic factors that shape the need for reskilling and creating the middle skills and high skills workforce of the future. In addition, we will identify actionable steps that firms can take to design and implement effective workforce programs that drive growth and productivity.
